About the role

Nobody at Exent hand-writes most of the code anymore. Agents do the typing; engineers own the architecture, the review and the quality.

As a Senior AI Systems Engineer you will lead that way of working across the app, the APIs and the data platform, and make the whole system fast, safe and easy for agents to work in.

What you’ll do

Direct coding agents to ship features end to end across the product
Own architecture, code review, testing and security standards
Build the guardrails, tests and context that let agents work safely in our codebase
Keep payments, user data and production systems reliable
Work directly with the founders on what to build next

What you’ll bring

Deep engineering experience and the judgment to review code you did not type
Daily, advanced use of coding agents (Claude Code, Codex or similar)
Strong grasp of web systems, databases, APIs and security
A bias for shipping and a high bar for quality
Clear thinking and writing

Nice to have

Fintech or payments experience
Next.js, Postgres / Supabase, Vercel, Fly.io
Experience building agent-friendly codebases (tests, docs, CLAUDE.md-style context)
