About the role

Exent runs institutional-grade analysis on real portfolios: risk, overlap, crash replays, analyst track records. Every number a user sees has to be right.

We work AI-first. As a Junior Data Analyst you will use AI agents to query, clean and explore data in minutes instead of days, and spend your time where humans matter most: checking, questioning and explaining the result.

What you’ll do

Use AI agents to write and run SQL and Python, then verify every result yourself
Validate and monitor market, fundamentals and analyst-rating data for gaps and errors
Answer product questions: activation, retention, which features people use
Help research and fact-check data for Exent articles and market notes
Document datasets and definitions so the whole team trusts the same numbers

What you’ll bring

You already use ChatGPT, Claude or similar tools daily, and know when not to trust them
Basic SQL or Python, or the ability to read and check what an AI wrote
A degree in finance, economics, statistics, engineering or similar, or equivalent experience
Genuine interest in markets and investing
Care for detail: you notice when a number looks off, and you check

Nice to have

Experience with AI coding agents (Claude Code, Codex, Cursor)
Familiarity with returns, volatility and drawdowns
A personal investing or data project
