About the role

At Exent the numbers come from quantitative models and AI does the reading, summarizing and explaining. Getting that boundary right is the job.

As an AI Engineer you will design agents and LLM features on top of our data and models, plus the evaluations and guardrails that keep them accurate and compliant.

What you’ll do

Build agents with tool use: research, portfolio summaries, market notes with citations
Design guardrails: numbers only from computed data, source checks, compliance checks
Build evaluation sets and measure quality, latency and cost
Choose the right model per task across Anthropic and OpenAI
Ship to production and iterate on real usage

What you’ll bring

3+ years building with LLMs in production, or an equivalent track record of shipped AI products
Fluency with tool use, structured outputs, agents and prompt design
An evaluation mindset: you measure before you claim it works
You build with coding agents, not just for them
Interest in finance and accuracy-critical products

Nice to have

Retrieval and multi-agent orchestration
Experience in regulated domains
Familiarity with financial data

Stack: Anthropic and OpenAI APIs, TypeScript / Python, Postgres (Supabase), coding agents
