DeFi Risk Disclaimer
Effective Date: March 26, 2026
This DeFi Risk Disclaimer applies to any decentralized finance and digital-asset features, education, and strategies offered through Exent. These carry risks that are materially different from, and generally greater than, those of traditional securities. By accessing these features you acknowledge the following.
Self-custody
These features are non-custodial. You control your own wallet and private keys at all times. Exent never holds, manages, or has access to your funds. If you lose your keys or approve a malicious transaction, the loss is permanent and Exent cannot recover it.
Smart contract risk
Strategies interact with third-party protocols. These protocols may contain bugs, may be exploited, or may be subject to external attacks, any of which can cause partial or total loss of funds. Exent does not audit these protocols and makes no warranty as to their security.
Stablecoin and de-peg risk
Assets described as stable can lose their peg and decline in value. Stablecoin strategies are differently-risky, not risk-free.
Liquidation and impermanent loss
Collateralized and liquidity-provision positions can be liquidated or can lose value relative to simply holding the underlying assets. In certain protocol events, collateral may be reduced by up to 100 percent.
No guaranteed yield
Yields are variable and are not guaranteed. Any performance figures shown are backtested or simulated, do not represent live capital, and are not indicative of future results.
No regulation or investor protection
DeFi is largely unregulated. There is no deposit insurance, no investor compensation scheme, and no recourse equivalent to that available with regulated brokers or banks.
Tax and legal responsibility
You are solely responsible for the tax treatment and legal consequences of your activity. Exent does not provide tax or legal advice.
Educational only
All DeFi content is educational only and is not investment advice or a recommendation to deploy capital into any asset, protocol, or strategy.
